Doctor offices and healthcare facilities are considered essential under the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services Stay at Home Order. As an essential business, Orthopedic Associates will continue to provide you with the superior access and exceptional orthopedic care you have come to expect.

For the safety of our patients and staff, we have updated our processes in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. We are offering virtual evaluation, or Orthopedic Telemedicine, for your non urgent orthopedic problem. Through this, we’re hopeful we can relieve some of the burden from overwhelmed ERs and non-orthopedic urgent care clinics.

Per the Saint Louis County Public Health Order, all patients and visitors, who can medically tolerate a face covering, are required to wear a mask while in our office. This is for the safety of all patients, visitors, and our entire staff. We encourage patients and visitors to bring their own mask, as the supply in the office is limited.

Patients with urgent problems can pre-register online from home and wait in their car instead of our waiting room. Patients will also be screened upon entry into the building. Our staff will have your temperature read upon arrival and send anyone home if the temperature is equal to or greater than 100. Visitors accompanying a patient are required to wait in their car unless the patient is a minor or has needs requiring a caretaker. 

If you are currently staying in or have stayed at or visited a skilled nursing facility, you will need to schedule your appointment at least 15 days from discharge date or date last visited. Orthopedic Telemedicine appointments are available to those who have visited a skilled nursing facility and wish to be seen sooner. Patient Screening for COVID 19

The patient’s temperature will be taken results greater than or equal to 100 will be rescheduled.

If you answer Yes to any one of the following, patients must reschedule their appointment.

  1. In the last 14 days have you or anyone in your household had direct contact with anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19?
  2. Within the last 72 hours have you or anyone in your household had any of the following symptoms?
    • Fever >/= to 100
    • Cough
    • Shortness of breath
    • Diarrhea
    • Vomiting
    • Severe headache
    • Abdominal Pain
  3. Within the last 14 days, have you or anyone in your household travelled Internationally?
