Patient Reviews

I saw Dr. Pitts for a swollen right knee and pain. We tried a cortisone shot and that only lasted for about 6 weeks. They did an MRI and that showed that my knee was full of arthritis, and it was too far gone to do arthroscopic surgery on. I elected for a full knee replacement, and we scheduled it for Christmas Eve of 2020. I was at the surgery center at 4 a.m. and surgery started at 6 a.m. He was finished, and I was in recovery by 8:30 a.m. They had me up and walking by noon, and I was back home by 1:30pm. I started therapy on Monday morning and told my therapist I wanted to be water skiing by July. I pushed myself during therapy and did all my exercises at home. It wasn't an easy road but was well worth it to be rid of the pain, popping, and cracking I had for years. I was up on water skis on July 13th. Dr. Pitts did a great job describing what was going to happen; he and the surgery center staff treated me very well. Hopefully my other knee holds up, and I won’t need another replacement, but if I do, I will come back to Dr. Pitts.

First, I was delighted that I did not have to wait six weeks to get an appointment to see him! He was thorough with his questioning, and I appreciate that he ordered more x-rays, to help with his diagnosis. I am thankful that he did not try to talk me into surgery immediately, and I appreciate his suggestions to seek therapy and pain management since I have not done that before. I felt confident in his medical advise, and understand that he is very patient-friendly. I cannot remember going to a doctor back and have them shake my hand in a friendly manner! I know that is a little thing, but I was impressed!

Dr. Pitts is always relaxed and comfortable to communicate with. I appreciate his willingness to discuss all options and help me arrive at the best solution. I never feel like he is rushed. He always takes time to answer all of my questions.

I have been here twice and only have good things to say regarding the Doctor and staff like your new computer system that patients fill out. I will be back this year for my cortisone shot in my knee. I am trying to put off knee replacement till I retire.

Dr. Pitts has been treating my weak knee for several years. My former primary care doctor recommended him. He is very attentive to his patient's needs and will do everything in his power to help you. I truly love him. He is a great doctor.
