Degenerative hip disease made my daily three-mile dog walks brutal and hiking up inclines impossible. Back pain was constant, and I could only go up stairs leading with my left foot. Dr. Mudd performed an anterior hip replacement, and within four days I had stopped using a walker; three days later, I no longer needed a cane. Now I can hike, climb, and bike ride. Heck, I can even do squats at the gym for the first time in 20 years! I only wish I had done it sooner. There was no need for me to live in pain and disability.
