Christopher L. Faubel, M.D

Interventional Pain Management
Dr. Christopher Faubel is a board-eligible physiatrist with fellowship training in interventional pain management. He has advanced training in the diagnosis and treatment of non-surgical muscle, nerve and joint conditions of the spine and extremities; and in the use of electrodiagnostic studies to diagnose nerve and muscle conditions that can cause pain, weakness, numbness and tingling. Dr. Faubel sub-specializes in the use of x-ray guided spinal and peripheral joint injections to treat patients with various inflammatory, arthritic and nerve injuries that cause acute and chronic pain.
Dr. Faubel did his pre-medical training in Michigan and Illinois and received his medical degree from Saba University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Louisiana State University in New Orleans where he was Assistant Chief Resident and then Chief Resident. During this time, he was also very active as a Resident Representative in the American Association of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Following residency, he further developed his knowledge and skills by completing an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)-accredited pain medicine fellowship at Louisiana State University.
Dr. Faubel has published several articles and has been active with the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, American Pain Society, American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, American Academy of Pain Medicine and Southern Society of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
Dr. Faubel is excited to return to the Midwest to join Orthopedic Associates in July 2012 and is looking forward to bringing his compassionate patient care and unique set of neuromusculoskeletal skills to the clinic and metropolitan area.
