Elbow Conditions
Tennis & Golfer’s Elbow

Tennis and golf are popular sports that can result in painful conditions at either side of the elbow. Workers that perform repetitive motions with their forearms or hands can develop problems as well.
Tennis elbow (lateral epicondylitis) occurs when the tendons that hold the muscles to the bone at the outside of the elbow deteriorate causing severe burning pain.
Golfer’s Elbow (medial epicondylitis) affects the tendons at the inner side of the elbow. If you are bothered by elbow pain, contact the specialists at
Orthopedic Associates at (314) 569-0612. You will receive the best in orthopedic care and sports medicine to get you back in the game as quickly as possible.

Cubital Tunnel Syndrome
Cubital tunnel syndrome causes pain, numbness, and a “tingly” sensation, similar to when the “funny bone” at the elbow is hit. Cubital tunnel syndrome is caused by pressure on the ulnar nerve at the elbow, most commonly from repetitive movements. The skilled physicians at Orthopedic Associates will perform a thorough examination and discuss the most appropriate nonsurgical or surgical options for your individual case.
